I prefer to read the NLT. I prefer the way it says things compared to my old NIV. Though I do want to get an old king james version sometime....

 Can you lose your salvation?
« Result #2 on May 2, 2005, 12:46pm »

This was an interesting topic in my youth group awhile ago and I would like to know what you all think. I will wait until a few people choose what they think before I start the discussion.

What my church does is called E.E. it is evangelism explosion. What it does is teach people a basic outline for sharing their faith. lol I was a part of it last year and it was interesting. This year I didn't do it despite the pleadings of many of my friends. But Many of my friends this year were trainers. Including my brother, my sempai* and his buddy.

*(Sempai is japanese for senior upperclassmen, it is used to show respect for the person and is an honorary term. He is a leader in my church and also the one who I call my teacher.)

 satan's downfall
« Result #4 on May 2, 2005, 12:12pm »

I've been looking and looking but I can't seem to find where it talks about the origan and downfall of satan. I have found one passage in rev 12 (verses 7-12) about a huge war in heaven and how the dragon (satan) was thrown down to earth...

But is that going to happen in the end times? or did it already happen and that is how he was thrown to earth.

And another thing, if he was thrown down to earth does that mean that is where he is? Because it says he will be cast into hell later.. so is he living amongst the world biding his time until he is cast away?

heh heh jsut a few questions I have. please feel free to answer anything or post your own opinion or thoughts.

Solomon

He started off as mean and money loving, but when he met Jesus he became warm hearted and started to love other people instead of money, He's not too tall though.
